I don't have weekly hours. I get what's thrown at me and also have to hit various chargeable and nonchargeable targets
Christmas is always either a nightmare of no work and then playing catch-up to make up for 2 weeks of no work or a living nightmare because some fool many years ago made Christmas Day a rent quarter day. The year a massive chain of pubs went bust at Christmas was a fucking doozy. I took so many calls from fucked off people who'd booked for New Year's Eve but the pub had been shut down...

We close down over Christmas and don't go back until Jan 5th. That's pretty much a week's paid leave in addition to annual entitlement.
