Esp the polish, whom he thought were very rude, abrupt and wanted weird things to eat that he didn't sell.

He was from Pakistan and had been in Britain for 2 years.

A lot of races really don't like each other, it isn't just white people being racist. Some Moslems don't like other kinds of Moslem, etc.
