I played the roleplaying game of that in my youth
Top tip, if you play as a mutant weasel you can pretty much win any combat by being about 3x as fast as anyone else. A mutant Polar Bear was pretty much the strongest, although coming up with a backstory as to how a Polar Bear ended up in the sewers of New York City could be tricky.
