This is a question Starting something you couldn't finish

Finnbar says: I used to know a guy who tattooed LOVE across his left knuckles, but didn't tattoo HATE on the other knuckles because he was right-handed and realised he couldn't finish. Ever run out of skills or inspiration halfway through a job?

Wheres my drink?
I'm currently on holiday with a family member.
Who has the most OCD tidying up habit ever.
Ive lost count of the number of times I've started to drink something, turned away to chat and then reach for it again and find it gone.
To be informed 'Oh I thought you'd finished it and I took it away'
For the last week I havnt managed to finish a single drink I've started *sigh*
I wish I had £1 for every time I've said
'Wheres my drink/bag/brush/phone/camera/shoes/toothbrush/coat etc that I left just here a minute ago?
I'd then be holidaying in the South of France instead

I darent fall asleep on the sofa in case I wake up to find myself tidied away in a cupboard somewhere

Had this same problem just last night
Assembled the ingredients for the Mojo Verde recipe, neatly beside the chopping board, all ready for the 5 mins it would probably take.
By the time I'd finished chopping the coriander and transferred it to a bowl, the knife was removed to the washing up. Retrieved the knofe only to find the oil and vinegar had been 'put away because I thought you'd finished with it'.
It's an affliction of my better half that, if you aren't:-
A/ actually using the item in question
B/ Within 6 inches of the item in question or
C/ You stop to look something up or talk to someone or take a phonecall etc etc
then the items must be put away.
Immediately

I actually barred her from her own house when fitting a shower because she kept putting away tools, fasteners, materials and the instructions if I even looked away from them for 30 seconds!

Tie them up and...
...trash the place in front of them. Dare ya!

I have lived with someone like this.
Had to move out before I strangled them

Have a sympathy click

tell them
they can tidy their stuff all they want, but if they touch your stuff again, you'll tip the bin over their bed. if they complain, just say "hey, it's either the bin, or i smack you every time you touch my stuff."
that should work.
