good lord noread it (skipping the piss-poor 'songs' that gurney insists on singing) by all means but i'd avoid watching lynch's film of it. the sci-fi channel's version was much nearer the book but not that good either, though their version of 'children of dune' was actually not at all bad, chiefly because of whatsisface james mcavoy, who is brilliant in everything.
