The Mini-Series from a few years back
is actually worth your time. Slightly less 'cut-to-ribbons' than the filum was.

I've not sen the series
but my mate said it was much better than the filum. I saw the film once, I think that's enough. The book scares me because it's fucking huge

good lord no
read it (skipping the piss-poor "songs" that gurney insists on singing) by all means but i'd avoid watching lynch's film of it. the sci-fi channel's version was much nearer the book but not that good either, though their version of "children of dune" was actually not at all bad, chiefly because of whatsisface james mcavoy, who is brilliant in everything.
