you need some texture maybea canvas perhaps, I can see a bit, but a stronger contrast so you can see the lines more, plus fade it a bit, Use liquify and a massive brush that covers the whole thing and lightly nudge the whole thing around slightly.

Here's my attempt
I did a bit of liquify to ooze it up but it didn't change it that much then i 50% sumi-e'd it and a bit of canvas.
Also - I never changed nuffin Guvnor!
