There's a lot of subtle humour in them that I missed when I was younglike the bit in The Invisible Child where it implies that you'd probably get on better with your friends if you didn't have to look at their faces, and the bit in Moominsummer Madness when Misabel says "the moon is so fat and lonely, just like me".
