Don't believe people who say it is hard.
Have a hot oven and preheat your fat. As long as your egg is reasonable beaten, you can't go wrong.

Thanks, I'll try it.
I'm veggie so I need to come up with a decent alternative for the lard. I'm also a fussy fucker so it will have to be something other then hydrogenated fat.
