# I like how they all have Sat Nav now
But they still don't know anywhere outside outer zone 2 but still expect to command more respect than a minicab driver.

# I think that's fair.
My arse demands more respect than a minicab driver.

# most of the judges and barristers enjoy being told to pay extra.
One of them pays double but we never let him in. :)

# The ones I use don't
I can test how good they are coz if they ask what I do I tell them I run a backpacker's hostel just down from the Barmy Badger.
If they don't know of it they're crap as it's one of the points they have to know when doing the knowledge.

EDIT: Although I do detest and am completely outraged at these crappy Mercedes taxi knock off you see around.

Utter shite. You can't even operate the windows and they're shitty poxy ridden people carriers. What selfrespecting cabbie would use one of those?

# Hahahahaha
Winnar.

Mrs Vagabond was asked to show the driver of one she hailed the colour of her hands the other day. She didn't bother and just got another.

# I remember staying at a mate from school's place.
He lived in the country in a tiny village, very posh place his father was David Elsworth the guy that trained Dessert Orchid (dates the story). His mums calls us to the window shouting excitedly, 'Look! There's a black person.'
It was in no way a racist slur. She just didn't see any where she was.

I think this guy simply didn't take fares from bloody darkies.

# I mostly use cabs for the short journey from Sainsburys to work if I have loads to carry.
I know a great little shortcut that most don't know that cuts out half of Earls Court Road. They love me as it saves no end of hassle in rush hour.

I actually remember a while back Sky News were doing an article at how terrible the traffic is in ECR and how Livingstone wasn't doing his job.

I remember watching them record the traffic jam footage at the time. In the report they neglected to say that just round the corner out of site half the road was closed off due to essential maintenence.
