Today I witnessed the most grotesque, unwatchable, toe-curlingly embarrassing travesty I've seen in a long time.
A dreadful display. It gets all built up in the media, and you think: 'This time, surely. Surely.'
So you keep faith. You watch. You hope.
But it was just horrible. My heart just sank a bit more every few minutes. It was even more upsetting than 1990.
I was just appalled.
Knew I shouldn't've watched Stevie Wonder's Glastonbury set live on BBC2 tonight.

Well, the telly presenters were acting as if Jesus was levitating among us.
But it was a serious case of Emperor's New Clothes. The few good 'uns he deigned to play (eg Livin' For The City, Higher Ground, Uptight and, admittedly, a few more, all of which were an insult to the original recordings) were outweighed by tedious, anonymous drivel full of solos and schmaltz.
If he'd wheeled out Phil Collins and Macca and done a medley of 'Part-Time Lover' and 'Ebony & Ivory', it would've actually increased the average quality of the set.
Oh, and England were fucking gash as well.
Towards the end, his individual namechecking of the 30-odd-piece band that were contributing to this sonic sludge didn't help.
Nor did the ghastly keytar solo at the very beginning.

hahaha
He was playing alongside Jamiroquai at Hyde park over the weekend. I wanted to see that - for Jamiroquai, not stevie wonder.
Thought Gorillaz seemed a bit average though - im not as excited about seeing them in sept now... There was a bit too much ad-libbing by annoying loudmouth rap men with miker-fones, and some of their songs just sounded a bit weak live - as if the production was off - 'some kind of nature' for instance..
The violinists in the background in the sailor costumes were adorable though - especially the asian babe one.
