I've had a similar problem sometimes...don't know whycured by just re-selecting colour variations or diffusion/pattern options.........or even a re-boot ...assuming you saved the psd.......otherwise('nother tip 'case you don't know)if it freezes,click the adobe image icon...this will open it in imageready(EVEN IN A FROZEN STATE)and you can then save as psd........all will be saved phew.....you may already know all of this & more:D

I had not saved it in ANY way prior to the freeze.Ach well... it's only fer B3TA. :)
