just 1 bus a week in to a town in the opposite direction of where I work.
More shifts - not in the job I have and as I say I take whatever freelance work I can get.
Another job, the costs in travel or relocation and risks involved are currently outweighing this.
Move - having moved house 3 times now and incurred the usual cost associated with it each time I know this is a stupidly expensive thing to do, plus the housing market dropped since we moved which could result in negative equity for me. so again, no, not really an option.
I agree it could be far worse. But it could also be far better and more rose fucking tinted.

or you could imagine being detached from society, having an annoying commute, terrible net connection, fewer mod cons, no shops near etc etc and clinging on to that much.

I mean - or were you forced to buy the place for one reason or another?

you really can be a tool at times can't you.
Do you walk up to car crash victims saying "well you did chose to learn to drive didn't you?"

You're a home-owner, in the middle of the countryside - a position many people would love to be in - you get freelance work, you've got talent and education, a nice computer and time to doss about on B3ta, and you're moaning because a couple of Royals are getting wed and you don't want a compo about it?
Tell me again how I'm being a tool.

that's one way of being a tool
The other could be thinking my saying "can't wait for the reposts" is moaning about a compo that hasn't even happened. Maybe you just have a different definition of moaning.
You petty tool.

other than what you've told me.
Fair enough - I have assumed that you are educated to a degree - if not then you are supremely talented at drawing.
I assume you have a computer, because you're on B3ta, as well, and have time to doss about on B3ta, because you do so.
And yes - I suppose I did take the "can't wait for the reposts" comment to be sarcastic, and therefore moaning.
Because as we all know, reposts kill kittens, rape babies, and invite Hitler 'round for tea.
You're right - I'm a petty tool.
