I think the problem is that while other people who couldn't give a rats arse about this subject simply remain silent, you always like to jump in with a vaguely negative comment (piss yourself if someone got mauled etc) which is fair enough, but because it happens every single time its assumed you're just wanting to get a reaction, because we are all quite clear on your position, you don't need to repeat yourself.
I personally think people can respond how they want and always try to assume it is in jest - hence my shall we see if you get mauled joke reply. But I can also understand how people can think here we go again.

Opinion and misinterpretation, the two things that will kill the internet :)
