because then there would be no Darth Maul, Star Wars Natalie Portman or the fucking brilliant Clone Wars CG series which at times is possibly better than the original movies

2 and 3 are dull because of trying to please the whiny fans, but all of them have some very impressive effects work, action sequences, character designs and costumes. Much like the original trilogy.
Not saying they're anywhere near the quality of Empire, but I'm not sure The Phantom Menace is any worse than Return of the Jedi

The opening sequence of ROTS is one of the most stunning pieces of CG put onto film hard disk (?).

And it surely deserves points for the use of the word 'youngling'
