# Alas, no.
(Was this the one at the Custard Factory in Brum? If so I missed Goblin as well.
That festival's press releases were the most gleefully alienating documents ever to hit our newsdesk.
Until the current NHS Bill, that is)

# haha, yeah:
'If you've never heard of this band, please don't come and spoil our festival, you cunt'

# That was almost the tone, but it wasn't even that snooty.
It was more like: 'this is a celebration of all that is sonically foul and impossible to like. Not recommended for anyone. Really, it's unpleasant and we don't want people to spend good money without realising this'.
I was bloody well tempted, I must say, but I knew a couple of hours would've worn me down.

# Despite the tone of the advertising,
they were pretty good events. Saw some good bands and films.
Rather gutted when a bomb warning meant it finished early one year and I missed ptv as a result.

# Surely that was part of the official line-up?

# *strokes chin*
hmm - that had never occurred to me. It was shortly after "7/7" so who knows?
I was prepared to take the risk, but it seemed the promoters were not.

# Yeah, at that time any disco playing the 12" of Frankie's "Two Tribes" would've probably been raided by a SWAT team.
