# No, no! They're surely the best Belgian sludge-metal duo ever to collaborate with the free jazz avant-garde.
There's nothing nicer than dozing off to the strains of 'Monoliths & Dimensions' after one has taken one's tablets.

# did you ever see them at supersonic?
(, Fri 13 May 2011, 0:51, archived)
# Alas, no.
(Was this the one at the Custard Factory in Brum? If so I missed Goblin as well.
That festival's press releases were the most gleefully alienating documents ever to hit our newsdesk.
Until the current NHS Bill, that is)

# haha, yeah:
'If you've never heard of this band, please don't come and spoil our festival, you cunt'
(, Fri 13 May 2011, 0:57, archived)
# That was almost the tone, but it wasn't even that snooty.
It was more like: 'this is a celebration of all that is sonically foul and impossible to like. Not recommended for anyone. Really, it's unpleasant and we don't want people to spend good money without realising this'.
I was bloody well tempted, I must say, but I knew a couple of hours would've worn me down.

# Despite the tone of the advertising,
they were pretty good events. Saw some good bands and films.
Rather gutted when a bomb warning meant it finished early one year and I missed ptv as a result.
(, Fri 13 May 2011, 1:12, archived)
# Surely that was part of the official line-up?
(, Fri 13 May 2011, 1:19, archived)
# *strokes chin*
hmm - that had never occurred to me. It was shortly after "7/7" so who knows?
I was prepared to take the risk, but it seemed the promoters were not.

# Yeah, at that time any disco playing the 12" of Frankie's "Two Tribes" would've probably been raided by a SWAT team.

# I know, I could've used Earth or Dwarves instead of KC, but went for instant pop brand recognition over strict musicological sense.
On reflection, perhaps I should've gone for Tony Iommi or something.

# After 4 months of procrastination,
I have finally re-assembled my main computer.
edit: or 'Charlene', to give her her proper name. She's not just a computer.
(, Fri 13 May 2011, 0:56, archived)
# Is she also a hostess trolley and night-light?
(, Fri 13 May 2011, 1:11, archived)

# Alas, mine is merely a gender-neutral work colleague,
pre-conditioned to obey the whims of my employer over mine.
The two years' worth of encrusted spunk jamming up the keyboard is neither here nor there.
(, Fri 13 May 2011, 1:26, archived)
# Charlene is nearly 7 years old,
but still performs better than many of her younger counterparts.
But I have lavished love, ram and new hard drives and fans on her.
Money grubbing bitch, only loves me for what I can give her.
(, Fri 13 May 2011, 1:30, archived)
# But surely now she's back, she makes you feel like you can do anything!
Even use Photoshop or play Fallout 3: New Vegas!
(, Fri 13 May 2011, 1:37, archived)
