Re-constituted pulp, like a Pringle or Cornflake.I remember reading the back of a box once, and there was an illustration of old father Kellogg inventing the first flake, by putting what looked like a lump of dough through a mangle, and then using a chisel on the result to carve off thin shavings. Put me right off, that did.
