# Shit that's scary.
9 days is a long time in hospital these days. I've had 11 but that wasn't life threatening.

i took the tinsel off the christmas tree in the day room, wrapped myself up in it and ran up and down the ward at midnight singing the armor hot dog song.
they sedated me after that :D

tried 5 times, failed 5 times. had to keep me in until stitches and everything came out, then a week after that to monitor me. spoilt rotten by the family, though.

Just in case...So I was safe.
But not so serious that they needed to rush me straight to theater when others were arriving needing imediate surgery...
All in all well looked after and life saved ect :-)

sister toledo. used to call her holy toledo, it really pissed her off! she was a right little ball of mental, but a damn good nurse.

# There was every nationality and colour you could think of where I was, two different hosptials because of transfer for operation,
All the nurses at every level and all the catering staff and cleaners that came on the ward were all briiliant at every level, and all went out of there way to put a smile on your face and make you feel happy,
Can't praise them highly enough the were amazing...
With that I'm off for a sit down..!!

After pretty radical ankle surgery, the nurses taking out my stitches were too busy planning where to get pissed and forgot to cut the knots off, pulled the big knot halfway through the 4" wound before they noticed I was covered in sweat...

# After the original accident the ambulance men thought I was dead and didn't check.
They were somewhat surprised when I told them to get a fucking stretcher.
