Started brilliantly, was loving it for the most part,
but then the last quarter was a mess of bad wirework, shit dialogue, awful effects work, more shit dialogue, slipping accents, bad kid actors, incredibly stupid plot point and more truly shit and cheesy Marvel comics style dialogue.
But as I say, it does start brilliantly (once its got past the repeated footage from the first XMen movie)

Oh dear.
I was rather looking forward to this as well. I'll hold my breath for Green Lantern, in that case. *crosses fingers*

somehow, I didn't have high hopes for this movie...
then again, I didn't care that much for the first two, and still haven;t seen the third...

It's grrreat.
Scott Pilgrim is sat in a similar condition on my cheap shelving unit. But then I have a cheap (-ish, Panasonic) surround-sound upscaling DVD player in a box which I haven't been arsed to set up yet.

oh no
but I'm watching this tonight!! Well I hope its ok, really like the Cuban Missile Crisis set up (interesting that the new Transformers movie is also going for a retro start, what with the Apollo moon missions being involved). Even if its poo, Fassbender (snigger) is a proper good actor, and Rose Byrne / January Jones are easy on the eye... [crosses fingers]
