Top marks for saying 'in' the bus though, 'on' the bus really makes very little sense. You don't sit on the roof! Why do we talk this way? It is madness! And yet we aren't even consistent. Nobody ever says 'I came on my car.' Although maybe that means something entirely else.

Well one would certainly say "I came on my bicycle,"never "I came in my bicycle." But you might come in your pyjamas.
