Long story short:I've installed Tor and tried with that. No problem getting a UK IP address, but Flash player (and therefore iPlayer) doesn't work by default under Tor.
I think I found a work-around today but I haven't tested it yet. There are conflicting 'solutions' online as well as plenty of responses to those solutions saying they don't work. We'll see I guess. I would love to get iPlayer working.

It's definitely worth getting if you can.I almost never watch TV any more, just iplayer.
