To bad the whole story was fakewww.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-14389430 however, one would assume that most people generally are happy with IE and use it, the more 'advanced/nerdy' people like to show it to the man and like to prove how 'different' they are. As a sweeping generalisation, most people that 'do' computers are smarter than your average road sweeper, as I say, a generalisation so logically those people would use browsers that are more efficient, or quicker or what have you solely because they know they are there. The average man in the street doesnt, but is happy to neither know nor care.
