I used to sell No Pasaran on demoswhich usually meant I stood there with a bunch of papers in my hands and everybody walked past me lol and worse still I'd miss the guest band like the day I missed The Levellers because some cow shoved a load of papers in my hand and said stand there and sell those and watched me the whole time.

I don't think it was anything to do it being a socialist party but the factthat some of the people seem to have forgotten what they were fighting for and unemployed working-class people to them were just to be pitied, won over and made to work for them for free. In the end I left pissed off with these so-called glitterati who gave me no self worth whatsoever. I believe that sometimes socialist causes attracts the wrong kind of people the ones who are only interested in self-promotion and patting themselves on the back for all the good causes they believe in, yet don't fully understand those causes.
