I think a few people pushed the post counts artificially high a few years back when you needed about 1000 posts a week to get near the top of the stats board. It'd be interesting to see a plot of total posts a week going back to the start of B3ta, though, because whoever said the Gayshift is quiet is right, it's gone *really* quiet. Maybe I need to swap my hours around and start posting stupid pictures on the Gayshift again.
