I've just spent the last hour or so going around old live recordings on YouTube and I'm now tracking down a copy of the 1985 Raleigh gig because the version of Good Advices I just heard had shitty sound quality but was a great performance.
Edit: The Raleigh gig is unlistenable :( Whichever moron put that one the internet YOU ARE A DEAF CUNT LEARN TO USE A FUCKING COMPRESSOR OR, EVEN BETTER, HOW *NOT* TO USE A FUCKING COMPRESSOR SERIOUSLY WHAT WAS THE FUCKING POINT WASTING 90MEG OF MY FUCKING BANDWIDTH ON THIS SHIT. Ugh that was horrible. I made it 10 seconds through 7 Chinese Brothers.

I don't like anything beyond "Life's Rich Pageant". The old stuff rules.

I take a less hardline view than you. Everything up to Automatic (with the exception of a few songs on Out of Time) is ace. Half of Monster is ace. New Adventures is underrated. Some of Reveal is really nice even if the album as a whole is a bit empty. Generally after Berry left they went a bit... mediocre, but they still had their moments.

I remember that show...they played outdoors at Meredith College.
