# NASA are bringing down a satellite tonight
There's a 1 in 3,200 chance it'll go slamming into an occupied area. You've got about a one in a trillion chance of being hit. It may be ten times smaller than that; I forget. The ultimate indignity is that if you nearly get killed by a satellite, you can't even sell the fucker on eBay!!!!! NASA have pointed out it remains the property of Uncle Sam, and implied that trying to sell it will bring down the wrath of the US of A.

# I think that's something for NASA's lawyers to figure out
One would imagine they have already done so since there's something like a 3,000 in 3,200 chance it'll go into the Pacific (this isn't true, but, like, WOTEVA, it's more likely to go into the sea than anything).

# Psh, fuck that noise.
I'd at least want a reward for 'finding' it.
(, Sat 24 Sep 2011, 0:10, archived)
# I quite agree
That "reward" might be a reasonable amount of lead, introduced directly to the cerebrum.

# oh right.. the facebook thing is confused and it's a satellite not at asteroid.
