...who's in to CB's and the like tuned a walkie talkie to a common key fob frequency. We had much fun watching business men going mental that their BMW's/Audi's/Merc's were not opening for them. When they got fed up they'd try and resort to the key; Alarm goes off, rage begins, we try not to crash in to anything while driving away laughing like loons...

Is the frequency that many car plippers use. There were a lot of problems at one of the Bristol hospitals because there was a transceiver mounted on top of one of roofs which cause car alarm problems. Problem is the design of the receiver built into the car - built for cheapness rather than immunity to signals close by that shouldn't affect them if they were designed propoerly.
