# you can do them with something like vectormagic.com
it does all the tracing and shading for you and saves you about ten solid hours' graft. what wb does to make it a bit less of a 'chuck any old pic through a filter' is choose a bit of the original picture and shop it back into the results. (or if he's using an autovector plugin, he masks that bit out before running it through.) he'll normally mask out the eyes and the clothes, or something like that. it can give the results quite an interesting feel.
