i think it was paul p that said that.if he has a static ip it the router reset would be irrelevant.
regardless, resetting your router won't automatically assign you a new ip anyway.

i really wouldn't worry, it's not terribly exciting, in fact knowing too much about computers and ip's may even be a lady repellant
