I think the point I'm trying to make is that it's sort of instinctive. At least I'm pretty sure I'd do it without thinking about whether some fuck is going to hit me with a lawsuit.
If it was Brian Harvey running himself over, that'd be a different story.

Foreigners stopping to help at accidents getting blamed and billed for hospital fees when they had absolutely nothing to do with it.

the police were more concerned with beating the local than offending the foreigner by prosecuting him in any way
but I think there may have been caste issues at work there.
In the end the foreigner just gave the local guy some money, he wasn't forced to or anything.
Though yeah, in some places "ALL FARANG = RICH, BLEED DRY, SUCCESS"
