Aah, I remember it well. The melodious chorus of the fishwives as they plied their wares late into the evening
outside the abattoir next to Cammell Lairds, the desolate yet romantic landscape of Rock Ferry,
and the joyous camaraderie of the late-night drunks as they flailed at each other with comically ill-timed punches.
Heaven on earth.
