I think it's from 4chan,there were loads of images on this theme: picture of a group of people, one of them has a funny expression, series of shots zooming in on the funny expression, whole group again with that one face shopped onto everyone.

I *think* that's where it came from,I've never actually been on there myself. I think I saw them on Imagechan, which is pretty much just 4chan edited highlights.
