# My uncle had a program to decode the adult channel and a few others.
Unfortunately his PC was upstairs, so he had an rs232 cable running from his living room, into the dining room, out the window, up the wall, into the window into his 'study' (which was a bedroom too small for a bed) And in those days of pre-pentium 486's it was decode crap soft porn or play in Day of the tentacle... Not both at once! however would we survive without soft porn and point and click games at the same time now?

When we got this system, I remember my Dad building a new 'entertainment unit' as he called it (shelves) He was very proud of it because the decoder (which used to get VERY hot) was hidden under it at the back, looked lovely, but not practical as after running it for about 3/4 hours it would get VERY hot and you would have to take the card out, rub it on your t-shirt and stick it back in for it to work another 2 hours or so.
