Good that you haven't got to go through too many insurance claims though.

My dad's leather jacket got stolen the other week, so he's claiming for it and new locks on his house insurance. The hoops the insurance company are making him jump through are ridiculous! First, asked for a receipt - he told them that it was a few years old and he didn't have it, so they suggested he wrote to Debenhams and asked them for a copy receipt - the fact he couldn't remember when exactly it was bought, how much it was, whether he bought anything else at the same time or how he paid won't matter apparently...

Last time I spoke to him he'd sent them three pictures of him wearing the coat, and they've asked him to re-send them by email so that they can blow them up O_o

we've not informed the insurance company and won't mention it at all anyway, as it will still count as a loss even though we don't need to make a claim

and an update. they've all been caught and their haul discovered!
