Sensible Software did indeed sort of fall apart and Jon Hare went to codemasters and became a celebrity producer. He's officially a bit rubbish if Mike Tyson Boxing is anything to go by.

i read up on the entire history of ultimate (and a number of other defunct software houses) this afternoon, which is why it took me about four hours to do that crappy picture...
