there are only guidelines not rules
the repost that got Fp'd wasn't in a new thread, and it's not the first time that a decent image got FP'd even though it had been posted before (In fact on of my FPs was a repost)
the size thing is unfortunate, but again, 400kb is a guideline and if your work is over that you can (and should) post it as a link
edit: to add, i used to be a right prick about filesize and dimensions. i really did nazi up the board. but i've got over it

I wouldn't say 400k was a guideline, more a maximum limit
"animated gifs should be kept as small as possible, never exceed 400 KB"
I appreciate I am coming across as very pernickity here, but I can't help fighting the terrible injustice and hypocrisy for suffering animators ;)
