# Threadjack (of a threadwaste, so little chance of it being read)
I've got an old Sky Digital box, complete with card. The contract expired & I was able to watch the free channels for, er, free.
Now I've moved house & find that the Digital box doesn't even display BBC1 etc.

Any ideas?

# you er...
did bring the satellite dish with you didn't you?

# No.
I plugged it into an existing dish (remembering to first unplug the existing box)

If it worked, I was going to tap into the existing feed & see if I had a strong enough signal to work too boxes at once.
If that didn't work I have a friend with a dish but no box who could use it.

# Ah
but the dish you've plugged it into may not be picking up the right signals... it may need re-aiming, or maybe it's not capable of using the same satellite?

# you can get a free bbc viewing card thing

# where from?
[edit] just found this which might do the job. You have to register with Sky though, as I was planning to use my landladie's dish which has an active sky box plugged in it already (I would have to use her landline as well...). These could be problematic...
