# Johnny
please don't keep making new threads just for questions like this, it's been known to upset other boarders...

What kind of animation file is it, if it's not a GIF? If it's a PSD, then reload it into OvenReady and go to "Save Optimised as" to make it into a GIF.

# you want to save optimised
click the "optimised" tab on the image, tweak the gif parameters (usually in a window on the top right of the screen) until it's a reasonable size/quality compromise, and then go to file->save optimised as

# click the "optimised" tab,
and then fiddle til the filesize is, well, below 200kb.

Then File > Save Optimised should do it for you.

:)

# youve probably saved it as psd
instead try 'save optimised as'

and haven't you learnt about threadjacking yet?

edit: maybe you did have to ask, but 1) you could have asked in another thread and 2) have you heard of google? there's a lot of tutorials out there...

# Threadjack (of a threadwaste, so little chance of it being read)
I've got an old Sky Digital box, complete with card. The contract expired & I was able to watch the free channels for, er, free.
Now I've moved house & find that the Digital box doesn't even display BBC1 etc.

Any ideas?

# you er...
did bring the satellite dish with you didn't you?
(, Sun 20 Apr 2003, 18:11, archived)
# No.
I plugged it into an existing dish (remembering to first unplug the existing box)

If it worked, I was going to tap into the existing feed & see if I had a strong enough signal to work too boxes at once.
If that didn't work I have a friend with a dish but no box who could use it.
(, Sun 20 Apr 2003, 18:12, archived)
# Ah
but the dish you've plugged it into may not be picking up the right signals... it may need re-aiming, or maybe it's not capable of using the same satellite?

# you can get a free bbc viewing card thing
so try and get one of those, sky are changing their viewing cards at the moment.

# where from?
[edit] just found this which might do the job. You have to register with Sky though, as I was planning to use my landladie's dish which has an active sky box plugged in it already (I would have to use her landline as well...). These could be problematic...

Have emailed Sky with a list of questions.
they probably won't reply 'cos there's no money in it for them :-(
