
assuming the carb is part of a robot, that infers the use of a liquid fuel in an internal combustion engine to power movement; which will create both combustion and friction related heat. A gearbox will be necessary to transfer movement at different engine speeds to the limbs of the robot and this means bearings which need to be cooled. Heat will exacerbate wear on all bearing surfaces, substantally reducing bearing life.
