The first Accounting software package I worked on had the same problem.We sold it before writing the year-end routines as,'We've got 12 months to write that.'
Somewhat foolishly forgetting that financial year ends don't line up with Calendar year ends. That was a mad panic when a customer who bought our software in March wanted to run his year end in April.
