Apart from 10 o clock live,
he's not really a political comedian, or even particularly left wing.
Doubt it will change things for him that much.

But he will get heckled now, without mercy over this
And there is not a lot he can fire back to be blunt.

I think it is more likely to be forgotten
very quickly. Ultimately, he hasn't done anything that illegal, just been a bit of a hypocrite.
Likewise, most comedians on panels shows are the ones who are in it for the money anyway. They are hardly going to turn down a TV appearance in order to take a moral high ground.
