I think it is more likely to be forgottenvery quickly. Ultimately, he hasn't done anything that illegal, just been a bit of a hypocrite.
Likewise, most comedians on panels shows are the ones who are in it for the money anyway. They are hardly going to turn down a TV appearance in order to take a moral high ground.
