# It was just a day in the life of Judge Dredd, like so many of the one-off, standalone tales that littered 2000AD.
I thought it was an excellent way to introduce Dredd, making the most of a miniscule budget and hinting at the much bigger world beyond.
It also felt like an early version of Mega City One, one which was just starting to become the futuristic version we know from the comics.

As long as it hits its $50m target in the US, the sequel is a given.
Alex Garland has hinted at Chopper/The Cursed Earth for the second part, and Judge Cal/The Dark Judges for the third.

American B3tans: please buy tickets at your earliest opportunity.

# I liked the Supersurf massacre storyline, but he was CLEARLY fucking dead at the end.
Then a month or so later Ennis has him alive and well and living in the radback.
:(
See also the cunts bringing Johnny Alpha back to life.
That sort of shit ain't on in my book.

# I must admit to being more interested in the inhabitants of the Cursed Earth than Mr. Shakespeare, but would still like to see something of him.
A film all about Chopper would become too much of a who's right/who's wrong, law vs anarchy study.
I'd much rather tag along on the search for the Judge Child, bump into the Angel Gang, and revel in all the golden opportunities to make something akin to a sweeping western in a post-Apocalyptic world.

The Dark Judges are a must. Anyone that doesn't want to see them prowling the streets of Mega City One is probably retarded, and a liar.
But mostly retarded.
