I recently had to give a talk to some overseas people about 'British life' and it included where I came from.
I showed them lots of pictures of the Chilterns, lovely villages etc.
They all said it was lovely and it made me realise that, yes, it is a nice county.

That's a lousy place, since the A45 you go round and it's utterly flat. I can't see how you can have any, any enthusiasm for that sort of thing at all...
