It was more the fact that Fanny Cradock would be unlikely to refer to herself like that.
It would have been more accurate if you'd used a picture of her husband Johnny who actually did the joke back in the day.

I think referring to herself in the 3rd person
does give it an extra bit of "creepy".
Edit: It's the apostrophe breaking the joke that bugs me.
