Would they have made even better curries, or would they just not have bothered?
Personally I enjoy, on occasion, a fried onion and gammon tikka masala with olive-oil fried polenta slices. And wonder if it can get any better.
But then I remember Papoutsakia or just a really good trayful of crisp Roast Tatties...
