I can see why they would be sacked for a prank gone wrongthe station needs to keep listeners on side and all that.
But I agree, it's no different to any other phone prank that goes right or wrong, all of which are mocking the person on the other end of the line, so in a way are just slightly cunty acts of bullying.
Some times bullying is funny and acceptable in the media, other times people remember it's a bit of a shit thing to do.
I'm guessing they'll get early retirement. They did what they were paid to do, opinion just shifted on whether it was funny or not.
