Actually I was in Manchester airport yesterdayand there was a sign specifically telling Ryanair passengers that they could take a duty free shopping bag on the plane in addition to their 1 piece of hand luggage.

It's the same at Rygge in NorwayBut, irritatingly, not at Stansted. So I'm still forced to buy duty-free on my way into Norway rather than on my way out of Britain.
