part of the problem is that by breeding for high levels of THC, they've bred out most of the CBD, which is the cannabinoid with anti-anxiety and anti-psychotic effects. So you'll definitely get stoned, but are more likely to get paranoid (or schizophrenic, if you have a genetic predisposition).

Girlfriend works on a psych ward and a heck of a lot of those guys have history of using cannabis.
I did it for about 2 years but gave up due to the paranoia, though a lot of people I know didn't have such problems (but could in later life perhaps).

For no obvious reason, schizophrenia makes you want to smoke a lot, apparently.

with thc being by far the most prevalent
but like with booze, different trace levels of different alcohols can give a different effect (beer compared to rum for example)
