# From what I've read
part of the problem is that by breeding for high levels of THC, they've bred out most of the CBD, which is the cannabinoid with anti-anxiety and anti-psychotic effects. So you'll definitely get stoned, but are more likely to get paranoid (or schizophrenic, if you have a genetic predisposition).

# I didn't know the chemical reasons for this but that makes a lot of sense
Girlfriend works on a psych ward and a heck of a lot of those guys have history of using cannabis.

I did it for about 2 years but gave up due to the paranoia, though a lot of people I know didn't have such problems (but could in later life perhaps).

# You should ask her how common it is there to smoke cigarettes.
For no obvious reason, schizophrenia makes you want to smoke a lot, apparently.

# i think there's 4 active compounds in it
with thc being by far the most prevalent

but like with booze, different trace levels of different alcohols can give a different effect (beer compared to rum for example)

# that's why amsterdam is cool
the way they put a description next to each type of weed is really useful to know what kind of effect you're going to have
