The longer cut of Alien 3 is much better than the cinema releasewell worth checking out.
Aliens is ok, but it moves away from the 'scare' tactics of the original, and promises
much more 'gun-ho' action between marines/alien to take it fully into another area - yet there's very little of that given the run time.
It tries to be 2-3 different things and although loud and bombastic, doesn't really offer as much as the original did
